Hello my lovely Society Sisters! How are you all enjoying the January weather? Yesterday we got about five minutes of sunshine in between the snow and dark cloud cover. I feel like I'm living in a cave right now! To help brighten things up I have a new collection and three Polish of the Month shades from Different Dimension. I have only had limited experience with this brand and was very pleased with the consistent good formulas and beautiful color palette. First let's start with the You Are Beautiful Collection (cue Christina Aguilera)..
"As women (and men), we are all oftentimes made to feel less than what we truly are - beautiful. The media paints a portrait of ‘beauty’ that is most often times unachievable, but beauty is more than skin deep. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, we are all beautiful in our own ways, and this collection was created to be celebrate just that!"
Dazzling is a magnetic polish with a warm honey base, chartreuse shimmer, and color contrasting aurora shimmers. I thought this would be really sheer but it actually built up nicely. The magnetic effect is very cool in this unique shade! Shown is two coats plus top coat.
Exquisite is a cobalt blue base with color contrasting aurora shimmers. The color shift in the shimmer is most visible in this shade. Shown is two coats plus top coat.
Glamorous is a darkened teal base with color contrasting aurora shimmers. I was afraid this shade would be a big stainer as teals tend to be. It did leave a slight tint on the nail but wasn't really that bad. Shown is two coats plus top coat.
Mesmerizing is a magenta base with color contrasting aurora shimmers. This one had a real nice and smooth application with the jelly base. Shown is two coats plus top coat.
Stunning is a deep eggplant base with loads color contrasting aurora shimmers. The color shift is visible at an angle but this shade mainly appears as a gorgeous vampy red. Shown is two coats plus top coat.
Sublime is a lime green base with color contrasting aurora shimmers. You know I'm not usually a green fan but I have really been enjoying lots of the warm toned greens in the past year. This one is very special with the strong contrast in shimmer. Shown is two coats plus top coat.
Polish of the Month Shades
December 2018 is a turquoise inspired linear holographic with added shimmers. This is a soft shade that would be a great transition shade from winter to spring. It has a super smooth formula. Shown is two coats plus top coat.
January 2019 Anything Is Possible, Even The Impossible is a baby blue crelly with added ucc flakies and holographic microflakies. The bottle shot shows off the chrome shift in the flakies, but on the nail that gets a little lost. Shown is two coats plus top coat.
Different Dimension
Are you feeling beautiful yet? My top picks are Stunning, Sublime, and.. maybe Dazzling. It has such a cool 3D effect in person! Out of the POTM shades I'm loving November 2018 the most. It's so vibrant!
