Essie Spring 2019 Collection

*purchased by me

Hello lovelies! I have really liked the collections that Essie has made this past year. This Spring collection was no exception so I bought all six shades. The formulas were all nice and although not every one flattered me personally, I think they're all pretty in their own way. Let's take a look..

Essie Fall 2018 Collection

Hello lovelies! I have the Essie Fall 2018 Collection to share today! I forgot that Essie updated their brushes and was once again so pleasantly surprised by what a difference it makes. The wide flat brushes really improve the application, whereas some of these formulas might not have done so well with the old ones. It makes me so happy!

Essie Treat Love & Color Swatches and Review

Hello friends! I had the pleasure of reviewing some shades from the newer Essie line- Treat Love & Color. These polishes have been designed as a one-step nail treatment that strengthens your nails and provides beautiful color at the same time! No base or top coat needed. The Treat Love & Color line offers a few dozen shades, the majority of which are neutrals, but with some darker and more colorful ones thrown in the mix. I have six that I reviewed in a variety of very sheer tints to full coverage shades.

Essie Gel Couture Wedding Collection by Reem Acra

Hello lovelies! Today's post is a review of the limited edition Essie Gel Couture Wedding collection by Reem Acra. If you didn't know, Reem Acra is a bridal designer and she's teamed up with Essie to create these six shades. While there are a couple shades I like, I feel like the majority of them are very "mature" looking and the formulas aren't the best. That's my opinion though! Let's take a look..

Essie Gel Couture Enchanted Collection

Hello lovelies! Today's post is a review of the Essie Gel Couture Enchanted collection which is made up of six shades of varying formulas and finishes. I really love the color palette of all six shades together. Individually they're all quite lovely too although I did have formula issues with one. Let's take a look..

Essie Spring 2018 Collection

Hello friends! I am so pleased to share the Essie Spring 2018 collection with you! The collection has a nautical theme and I think the color palette reflects that for the most part. I have a real soft spot for anything nautical so my heart was already in it before I even tried them on. The best part is that the formulas were all fantasic- really smooth, with nice opacity, and I didn't have any issues with application. Let's get right to it..

UberChic Beauty Collection 22 and Got Chevron? 01 Stamping Plates Review

Hello lovelies! I have some UberChic Beauty stamping plates to share with you today! There were so many images I loved in Collection 22 that I had to do two from each plate. The Got Chevron plate has some pretty good images too, but I was hoping to see just a couple more traditional chevron images from it. I kept each of these looks pretty simple so they're all totally recreate-able.

Hello lovelies! Can you believe June is almost over? I am dreading the rising temperatures, especially since it's been so hot already. At least we in the US have the Fourth of July coming up soon! Enjoy my review of three new UberChic Beauty stamping plates that are all perfect for Summer!

Hehe Stamping Plates Review- The Science Collection

A couple weeks back I reviewed some new plus size Hehe stamping plates and as promised I am back with their Science Collection! When I saw this collection released last year I fell in love. There are so many awesome and unique images! I'm not a science nerd by any means. My hubby is the one with the Scientific American subscription, although I might pick it up to look at the pictures, lol. My point is, anyone can appreciate this collection because it is just so COOL.

The Essies 2017 Top Ten Finalist Nail Art Tutorial- Negative Space Ikat

Hello lovelies! I am so thrilled to share with you that I am one of the top ten finalist in The Essie 2017 nail art contest! Isn't that amazing?! I still can't believe it. My first entry was this Drag Marble Swirls video tutorial. For the next round of competition I was asked to create another nail art look using the Essie Spring 2017 Collection. I came up with this bold, negative space ikat design. Pretty eye catching, don't you think? I'm always a little afraid of trying negative space designs, but I think it works so perfectly here.

Nail Art Doodles With Essie (Brushing Up On Freehand Skills)

Hello my lovelies! It has been ages since I've done any freehand nail art. I've found that it's one of those skills that if you don't use it, you lose it. Not to say that I was in any way a master to begin with, but I could feel my abilities falling behind. So here's some nail art that I attempted with a detail brush. If it looks like I didn't have a plan going into it, that's because I didn't!

Essie Gel Couture Ballet Nudes Collection

Hey everyone! Today I have for you swatches of the Essie Gel Couture Ballet Nudes Collection. You may have seen me post on social media about an event I attended at the Grand America Hotel where I received this collection along with new Essie treatment products that I will be sharing soon. This was my first ever event with other bloggers and it was good to get to know some local women from different realms of the blogosphere. We enjoyed some super fancy afternoon tea, something I didn't know I was missing out on but totally hope to do again sometime.

31DC2016 Day 26: Elegant Argyle

Hello ladies! I had grand ambitions for today's 31 Day Challenge "inspired by a pattern" prompt that failed just as soon as I started. No worries, I took an easier route and it turned out to be the perfect Fall mani. It has a sophisticated preppy look that makes me want to go back to school. Mostly just so I can buy all the back to school supplies. Isn't that the best part?

31DC2016 Day 24: Lonesome Dove

Hello again! For the 31 Day Challenge's Day 24 "inspired by a book" prompt I went with one of my favorite books, "Lonesome Dove". This epic western novel has the richest of characters, a compelling plot, and a deeply evocative atmosphere. It's one of those books I want to read again and again!
