NOTD: OPI Flashbulb Fuchsia

I felt sad that it's been at least a year since I've worn OPI Flashbulb Fuchsia. Now that I've been breaking out the summer polishes, I figured it was time to revisit it. For a few years this has been one of my go-to pedicure shades. I'm assuming you have as strong of an aversion to photos of feet as I do. So I spared everyone and kept it on my fingers. The color is a vibrant fuchsia that flashes purple and has a subtle but visible blue shimmer. I remember the formula as being a little more smooth than it was. I think I may just need to add some polish thinner to my bottle. I love the in-your-face pop of color that I get from it.

NOTD: China Glaze Ahoy!

Wow, is it finally Friday? This has been a long, busy week for me. I've been running around so much, that I'm determined to stay home today and do as little as possible! Okay, maybe not, but I am trying to keep it easy. Plus, it's that time of year again where the air is thick with swirling cotton from the cottonwood trees. I'm talking white-out blizzards of cotton. That alone is huge motivation for staying inside. And when I am forced to leave the house, lipgloss is not an option!

This nail of the day is China Glaze Ahoy! from their Spring 2011 collection. Ahoy! is a gorgeous raspberry red glass fleck. Even with the squishy jelly base of this polish I was able to get it this opaque easily in just two coats.

NOTD: Sinful Colors Coral Riff

My nail of the day is a recent purchase of mine. I made a trip last week to Ye Olde Drugstore in search of some newly released polishes, but sadly couldn't get my hands on them. I asked the salesclerk if she'd seen them in yet, and she led me around the beauty section trying to pretend she was helpful. Amateur. I had to walk away with something, so fortunately I laid my eyes on this pretty and took it home with me!

Coral Riff is a deep coral creme/jelly with multi-colored glass flecks. I used two coats here.

The glass fleck isn't in-your-face obvious, but I've always been a fan of a subtle shimmer.

Sinful Color polishes can be found at most drug stores. I purchased this at Rite Aid for $1.99.

Moral of the story: Even when you can't find the polish that brought you to the store in the first place, there is always a plethora of other options for you to buy! I want to know, how often does that happen to you?
