Hello lovelies Society Sisters! I have five polishes from the April Polish Pickup, all inspired by famous works of art. In case you are unfamiliar, the Polish Pickup is a four-day event each month where dozens of indie nail polish brands create limited edition polishes inspired by the chosen theme. In addition to polishes there is now the "Indie Pickup" on the same website which offers cosmetics, hand & nail care, jewelry, etc, during the same dates. Let's take a look..

An intense burnt orange base with a multichrome shift to it with iridescent flakes. This stained a little, but not too seriously. Shown is two coats plus top coat.
Painted Polish "Catching the Canal"
Inspiration: Claude Monet’s impressionist painting ‘Le Grand Canal'

A rainbow of color-shifting flakies in a light periwinkle crelly base. This blue is so dreamy! Application was nice and smooth. Shown is three coats plus top coat.
KBShimmer "Wave After Wave"
Inspiration: Ivan Aivazovsky's "The Ninth Wave"

A soft gray base with subtle lavender tones with strong coppery red to gold magnetic shimmer, gold flakes, and bits of micro holo flakes. Every single time I look at photos of this shade I get the song "Wave on Wave" stuck in my head, lol. Shown is two coat plus top coat.
Anchor & Heart Lacquer "Desert Paint"
Inspiration: Erin Hanson’s "Fins at Dawn" and the rest of her 2016 “The Orange Show” collection.

A vibrant coral neon with purple aurora shimmer, and iridescent flakies that shift orange/pink/lime/purple. This is so bright but still wearable at the same time. Shown is three coats plus top coat.
Inspiration: Rodin's sculpture "The Thinker"
Price: $12.50, 350 cap
A green to bronze to red holographic shimmer nail polish with scattered holo and copper/bronze/green UCC flakes. The formula is sheer and applied very smoothly. All the elements meld together very nicely. Shown is three coats plus top coat.
