Last month when I was participating in The Essies I was sent the Spring 2017 collection to use for my nail art tutorial. The saturated colors of the collection make me happy so I am sharing swatches with you today!

I have this month's Ipsy Glam Bag to share with you! It's crazy how different they all are depending on your preferences, etc. I haven't seen anyone else with one exactly like mine (I haven't really looked that hard), so I wanted to show you the products I received. You can check out the look I did with last month's Glam Bag here.

Hello lovelies! Girly Bits released their Warrior Goddess Collection, a set of six wonderfully dusty cremes, a couple months back and I fell for them. I resisted well for a few weeks, then finally caved and bought them all! I love me a good creme polish and these formulas and colors were too good to pass up. (I've already used two of the shades in some nail art here). Let's take a closer look..

A couple weeks back I reviewed some new plus size Hehe stamping plates and as promised I am back with their Science Collection! When I saw this collection released last year I fell in love. There are so many awesome and unique images! I'm not a science nerd by any means. My hubby is the one with the Scientific American subscription, although I might pick it up to look at the pictures, lol. My point is, anyone can appreciate this collection because it is just so COOL.

Yes! It's that time once again.. We are entering neon season and I am so ready! Indie brand Turtle Tootsie Polishes has created a bright summery collection consisting of six holographic neons, one glitter crelly, and one holographic glitter topper. The Jailbird Collection theme and individual polish names are just as playful as the colors. It reminds me of these Valentine's Day printables I created a couple years back that are on a similar vein. The neon formula was slightly thick but self leveled well. As is typical of neons they all dry down to a dull finish, so I've applied a glossy top coat to each one.

Get out your bibs, 'cause you're going to be drooling by the end of this post. Sunny's Body Products has created a delectable twelve piece food scented sampler box ranging from coffee to candy to fresh baked bread. Some of these are so delicious you'll be tempted to taste them, I'm totally serious. Best part is, they are all calorie free!

Hey loves! Today's post is swatches of indie brand Polish My Life's Naughty Nauticals collection. I bought this whole collection because the color palette is so beautiful together and perfect for Summer. The six piece collection is made up of creme/jelly formulas that all apply smoothly and build up to a glossy and squishy finish. Also, they watermarble like a charm as you may have seen me showcase here and here, and will again at the end of the post. On top of it all I helped name (you know how much I love to!) two of the polishes from sneak peeks in the fan facebook group.

Hello there! I hope you all had a great weekend! Mine involved lots of sunshine, rain, and snow. The weather here is never boring, haha. I'm going to start your week off right with another UberChic Beauty review. Let's get right to it.

Hello lovelies! Today's post is nail art (yay!) created with a few products I was sent to review from What's Up Nails. They have recently launched under their house brand name, six awesome new stamping plates. The designs on the plates are really beautiful and the etching is high quality. I was sent another product not shown above that has presented a learning curve for me so I'll have to have a second post for when I figure it out!

Hello ladies! Aussie indie brand Celestial Cosmetics will be turning four this month and to celebrate Nicki (founder and mastermind) has created a fun and sassy collection, and one limited edition. The Good Girls and Bad Habits Collection consists of nine linear holographic polishes, and one color shifting flakie holo for the limited edition. For all you holo lovers, get your grabby hands ready!

I have some especially beautiful swatches to share with you today! Anastasia of the Russian stockist Polish Molish offered to send some Masura magnetic polishes and I was thrilled at the chance. I have seen swatches from this brand all over the place and have wanted to try them for the longest time. I have to tell you right now though that none of the photos I've seen, nor mine here in this post do the polishes justice. I mean, yes the photos look pretty, but in real life they are MAGICAL. It's like the fun of a science experiment combined with the convenience of nail art in a bottle- all into one polish! I'm not typically one for hyperbole, so you know they have to be good...

Hello my lovelies! I have a review of one of my favorite brands' newest releases. I've reviewed the smaller round Hehe plates before (here) and I think they have fantastic designs. I was sent their three new Plus plates which are obviously larger and have more designs. I also received the Science Collection that was released last year, so keep your eyes out for that review coming soon!

Hello ladies! I have a few swatches from a recent purchase of a brand quickly growing in popularity- Vapid Lacquer. It's no surprise really, they produce some gorgeous polishes! The one downside to their rise in the indie polish world is that they sell out so fast, you need to be on top of your online shopping game. Fortunately for me I'm at home all day and my schedule is wide open to buy all the things!

Hello lovelies! I am so thrilled to share with you that I am one of the top ten finalist in The Essie 2017 nail art contest! Isn't that amazing?! I still can't believe it. My first entry was this Drag Marble Swirls video tutorial. For the next round of competition I was asked to create another nail art look using the Essie Spring 2017 Collection. I came up with this bold, negative space ikat design. Pretty eye catching, don't you think? I'm always a little afraid of trying negative space designs, but I think it works so perfectly here.

I have another UberChic Beauty stamping plate post for you today! I never get tired of these because I always come up with one or two looks that I really love. This time though I really think I love every one! Let's see if you do too..

It's rare that I post swatches of a polish on its own, but this one is special enough that it deserves the spotlight. I have seen toooons of photos of Sinful Colors Prosecco but was never able to find it in the stores/ I didn't look too hard for it. You can only chase after so many polishes at a time, right? Well I laid my hands on this recently and finally understand the obsession.

Oh my goodness, are you ready for this? For all you doubters who thought I was all hands and no face, I'm going to prove you wrong for once and for all. Okay, so that was never a thing, but here I am anyway! I mentioned on my Instagram a few weeks back that my love for makeup, which has laid dormant since I started spending all my monies on nail polish, is resurfacing. I broke down and signed up for a subscription box which I had wanted to do for so long. This is my first Ipsy Glam Bag and I wanted to share with you all!

Hello loves! I have some of my favorite body products to share with you today. When Sunny asked if I would review this Spring sampler box I was ecstatic. I have been using these products (and blogged about them here) since my favorite nail blogger Very Emily (who sadly is no longer blogging *sob*) made me aware of them. I always looked forward to her beautiful review posts and tried to make mine in the best "Emily fashion" I could. My seven year old son also did his best in helping me take these photos, so a big thanks goes out to him!

Hello my dears! Today I bring you new polishes from Colores de Carol! The Pure Imagination collection is a rainbow of nine linear holographic and iridescent glitter polishes, and one holographic flakie and iridescent glitter topper. I actually came up with the name of the collection and individual polishes! They were inspired by the elusive quality of rainbows and the boundless dreams and wonder they invoke.

When Native War Paints recently released their Copper Penny Collection I knew I would need every. single. one. Absolutely no regrets, I love them all! The collection consists of six different beautiful copper shimmer filled shades. If you love a good shimmer like I do, you are bound to love them too.

Hello my lovely Society Sisters! It's been some time since I've posted anything makeup related on my blog. I've been neck deep in nail polish for so long that I don't make as much time for it. Well I'm trying to find ways to incorporate it more since my love for cosmetics was a big part of my life for so long. I also have to mention that I often feel like I'm not making much progress on my blog, regarding my skills and otherwise. Well check out the last time I did a post about a Clinique Bonus. Quite a difference! That really made my day. :)

Hello ladies! It is warm and sunny outside and I feel like singing! While the world is awakening, so is the need for color growing inside me. In the foliage, in my clothes, and on my nails. That is why I am so excited to share my review of the Dermelect 'ME' Spring/Summer '17 Romantic Renaissance Collection. The colors couldn't be more perfect for Spring. I have three of the six polishes from the collection, and the shades are giving me life!

Green-tings lads and lasses! If you've been following my blog, you'll know that in the past I haven't been that big on green. But I think it's time to admit that I have been converted! I have so many STUNNING greens that haven't seen enough love, and what better time to share them, than this month for St. Patrick's Day? I have compiled a list of 15 fabulous shades which are a mixture of mainstream and indie polishes. Some of these are just what you'd expect for the holiday, but I've included a few unexpected shades as well. Enjoy!

Hello my lovely ladies! Last week I purchased this set of four cremes from the Glisten & Glow Oh, The Places You'll Go Collection. I just loved the inspiration behind the collection and the combination of colors. I mean c'mon, who doesn't love this book? The formulas weren't as fabulous as I had hoped for. You tend to get chalky formulas on colors like these, and that was my experience. I've got swatches for you today, but I'm going to test them out for nail art soon!

Hello lovelies! Today I am sharing with you the Collection 14 stamping plates from UberChic Beauty! Once again there were so many good images in this collection that I wanted to try out. I still haven't tried some of my favorites, but then I didn't want to make this post wait until I had. So without further ado, let's take a look!

Hello my lovely Society Sisters! I recently purchased these four KBShimmers from this month's Hella Holo Customs, a Facebook group that hosts indie brands each month to create custom polishes. These are the first polishes created in the HHC group that I have purchased because they're KBShimmer and I knew that they'd be good. My package arrived yesterday and I couldn't wait to swatch them!

Hey ladies! I was sent a pack of the new UberChic Beauty UberSwatchers, an organizing tool that is designed to fit atop your nail polish bottles to help you find the color you're looking for. They are one-size-fits-most stretchable rubber caps with removable white plastic pieces that are made for painting regular or gel polish directly onto. I have pictures below of 17 different nail polish brands that I've fit the swatchers onto.

Hello my lovelies! It has been ages since I've done any freehand nail art. I've found that it's one of those skills that if you don't use it, you lose it. Not to say that I was in any way a master to begin with, but I could feel my abilities falling behind. So here's some nail art that I attempted with a detail brush. If it looks like I didn't have a plan going into it, that's because I didn't!

Hello lovelies! How is your week going? The sun is warm and shining outside and I am getting really hopeful for Spring. Speaking of, I have some Spring appropriate polishes to share along with a stunning red duo. Four of these six Celestial Cosmetics polishes have similar formulas and finishes. They are slightly metallic, holographic, and each have a color shift- some more subtle than others. The formulas were all nice to work with, but did require three coats for me to reach the coverage that I prefer. Let's take a gander..

Hey everyone! Today I have for you swatches of the Essie Gel Couture Ballet Nudes Collection. You may have seen me post on social media about an event I attended at the Grand America Hotel where I received this collection along with new Essie treatment products that I will be sharing soon. This was my first ever event with other bloggers and it was good to get to know some local women from different realms of the blogosphere. We enjoyed some super fancy afternoon tea, something I didn't know I was missing out on but totally hope to do again sometime.

Hey ladies! Today I have a review of two new UberChic Beauty stamping plates for you. They are both fun and festive and I had lots of fun with them. Take a look!
For this first look I did a simple gradient stamp with a lovely and quirky double hearts image.

Hey peeps! I have more long overdue swatches for you. It's pretty much the same story as my last post (read about it here and here). So even though I swatched these polishes weeks ago, I'm just now getting them edited and ready to go. The bad part is.. not all of them are still available :(. Sorry guys. I decided to publish them anyway because I don't want all my hard work to go to waste!
Friday, February 3, 2017
I am back with swatches! I actually did these about a month ago but my computer problems delayed me posting them. I was out of practice photographing my nails so forgive me if they're a little irregular. I apologize that because this is so overdue I'm not showing the whole collection because some polishes aren't available anymore (including two that I am showing here). Moving right along..
Still Waters is "a slightly blue tinted base with light blue micro glitter, navy holo glitter and holo glitter". This is one of those polishes that I didn't know I needed but now that I have it, wondered where it's been all this time. This was two coats, no top coat. Even without top coat it dried down pretty smoothly.

My dear Society Sisters! I'm back! I never intended to be away this long, but then life just seemed to happen. At first I had just lost the motivation to blog. It just up and disappeared, and I wasn't keen on forcing it. It came back though a few weeks ago but then I've had computers problems, strep throat, the flu, etc. Geez Louise, I felt like it was never going to happen. And I missed you guys! So let's hope this next month goes a little more smoothly. :)
