31DC2016 Day 9: Graphic Neon Rainbow

Hello everyone! Today's "inspired by rainbow" prompt is one of my very favorites of the entire 31 Day Challenge. Seriously who doesn't love a rainbow? These colors are so bright and happy and I instantly feel my mood lift looking at these nails.

Guest Post By Very Emily

Hello ladies! I mentioned last time that I haven't been around much this month because I have a more than usual amount of things going on. Also I am due for a break and needed a few weeks of just taking it easy. I asked some of my blogger friends to help me out with guest posts which I'll be sharing for the next couple of weeks! 

My first guest post is from someone who hardly needs an introduction here, Emily of the blog Very Emily. She is my nail bestie, confidant, and an all around incredible person. Wise beyond her years, she is my guru who gives me guidance, especially when I'm losing it. Which is way too often, haha. I'm so fortunate to have her on my blog again. Take it away Emily!

Hello Nail Polish Society fans! I'm Emily aka Very Emily. Emiline and I have been friends for quite some time now which is evident from the numerous posts you can find on this blog under the tag "Very Emily". Haha! Even I was surprised to see so many, we've definitely collaborated (under many different forms) a lot, and no one is stopping us any time soon! 

For my guest post I decided to use one of the "reject" manicures from our previous "Paint All The Nails Presents Dotticures" link up. I use the word reject lightly because I absolutely loved this manicure (nothing rejected about it!) but ended up posting a different one for the link-up as I created several looks. Actually, I think this one was always destined to end up on this blog as this was one of the designs Emiline and I brainstormed when we were figuring out what to do for our Twinsie Nails. Inspired by this image I found on Pinterest. 

I started with a base of Dance Legend Grey Britain, a gorgeous speckled grey and a spot-on match for the inspiration image. Then I stamped using Messy Mansion in Carbon and Mundo De Unas in Yellow, both using the polka dot image from the KD3 plate from Born Pretty Store. Finished with glossy top coat.

Mani Swap With @talialouisenails

Hello ladies! I have some fun nail art to share with you today! This week the very talented @talialouisenails and I did a mani swap, and this was my recreation of a design she did awhile ago. As soon as I first saw her post this adorable neon polka dot design I saved in my "to-try" folder, and when the opportunity came to do a swap with her I immediately knew I would choose this one!

It's time again for another Paint All The Nails linkup! This time around we chose "dotticures" for our monthly theme. I've had an idea for a specific mani involving dots sitting around for months and months. I spent quite some time trying to think of a design for today, I can't believe it didn't come to me sooner.

Mint and Chocolate Interlocking Dotticure

Happy Friday ladies! Today I have a fabulous manicure that I've been wanting to try for ages! I don't know what was holding me back, but I finally got my motivation after seeing this mani on All Lacquered Up. I loved it so much, I just couldn't wait any more!

Glitzy Pinterest Nails

If you've spent anytime at all browsing nails on Pinterest, you've seen something like this. I've never done a mani quite like this, with the densely glittered nail. Yesterday I went to Sally Beauty and found these three polishes on clearance. When I brought them home I realized how great they looked together. It was destiny. I instantly thought of the manis I see on Pinterest all the time and figured it was worth a try to see if I liked it. Well, there is a reason there a bijillion manis like this. Because it's so darn sparkly and lovely!

Pumpkin Polka Dot

Thanksgiving Day is tomorrow! I never used to get excited about this particular holiday. This year I have been anticipating it more than usual. I think it's the fact that I do most of the cooking now, that I appreciate good food much more. I have been slowly expanding my stomach in preparation of the holiday. I'm ready now to stuff my face.. bring it on!

In celebration, I have a fun pumpkin (or punkin, depending on where you're from) polka dot mani. I was originally planning on doing a tutorial for this one. Unfortunately I had a senior moment and forgot to take the necessary photos to make said tutorial. Whoops. Will you take a rain check?

Here's what I did:
1. I began with two coats of OPI My Vampire is Buff.
2. Then with my large dotting tool I made a polka dot pattern using Sephora by OPI Paisley Attention to Me.
3.With my pointed dotting tool I added the stems to the dots on my accent nail, magically transforming them into pumpkins.
4.I topped it all off with a coat of Seche Vite top coat.

Sephora by OPI I Come in Peas
