Polish Pickup May 2020: Candy Land

Hello lovelies! I have a new post of eight limited edition products for May's Polish Pickup. In case you are unfamiliar, the Polish Pickup is a four-day event each month where dozens of indie nail polish brands create limited edition polishes inspired by the chosen theme. In addition to polishes there is the "Indie Pickup" on the same website which offers cosmetics, hand & nail care, jewelry, etc, during the same dates. This month's theme is Candy Land! Let's take a look..

Painted Polish Sucker For Sprinkles is a white crelly base filled with pink and gold holographic glitters, and purple, blue, and green metallic glitters. Inspired by a fun and fancy sprinkle mix. The formula was thin and easy to work with. Shown is three coats plus top coat. There is a cap of 275 (US) and 25 (UK).

Different Dimension Cotton Candy is a sheer blue with pink to gold to green color shifting aurora shimmer. This is really sheer and didn't build up to opacity, unless maybe you go for that fourth coat. Shown is three coats plus top coat.

Different Dimension Candy Cuticle Oil Trio consists of three different scents in spun sugar (cotton candy scented), airheads (blue raspberry scented), and lifesavers (cherry lifesavers scented). I like all three scents, especially spun sugar. The oil is rich and nourishing and I enjoy the ease of the brush for packing in my purse.

Anchor & Heart Lacquer Look Jim, I'm Eating You is a grayish beige crelly with purple/magenta ucc flakies, plus small scattered glitter in purple iridescence and matte magenta.  Inspired by a Halloween episode of The Office. Shown is three coats plus top coat.

Anchor & Heart Lacquer Siren's Cure Cuticle Creme in Double Apple is a richly emoliant cuticle crème formulated with lots of nail and skin nourishing ingredients. Inspired by a fruity, tropical drink. The apple scent stands out the strongest when applied, but I can smell the pineapple coming through after a few minutes. I like the luxurious feel of this creme.

KBShimmer Fruit Slices, Yummy Yummy is a coral-colored jelly with orange/lemon yellow/lime green color-shifting flakes, and micro holographic flakes. Inspired by fruit slices. This applied nicely even with the large size of flakes. Shown is three coats plus top coat.

Rogue Lacquer Jaw Breaker is a white crelly base packed with metallic red, gold, and blue micro flakes. Inspired by a classic jawbreaker. The flakes are a little curly so you might get some texture. It mostly smoothed out with a glossy top coat. Shown is three coats plus top coat

Rogue Lacquer Take It Off Soy Based Nail Polish Remover is just what the name suggests. This was a first more me, I've only ever used acetone to remove polish. It doesn't dissolve the polish nearly as quickly as pure acetone, but this is a great non-toxic alternative. It's also hydrating for your skin and cuticles. It’s very lightly scented with the yummy skittles candy and is in a travel size 2.0 oz bottle.

by Dany Vianna Zombie Rainbow is a gray crelly with colored metallic micro flakes. Inspired by Zombie flavored Skittles. I'm sorry, I can't remember if this was two or three coats! There is a cap of 200 for the US, 10 for UK.
