Happy Saturday everyone! Anyone else as excited as I am that it's the last day of January? It feels twice as long as every other month each year. I feel a little giddy now it's over. I am already in full-swing with Valentine's Day nail art. My draft box is lined up with a number of them for the next couple weeks. Get ready for a lot of pink!

Lead Light Stamping Over Polish My Life Muskrat Martini
Hello lovelies! I have been on a real nail art kick lately. I've acquired a *few* nail polishes in the last month or two that have really inspired me. It's always exciting to find new polishes that have so many possible uses. The base polish of this mani is from a new-to-me brand, Polish My Life. I've heard great things about their formulas, especially their pastel cremes. Since I'm always on the lookout for good quality pastels I knew I had to try them for myself.

January Jubilee Giveaway Winner Announced!
First of all, I would like to thank each and every one of you for participating! I have the most amazing readers and truly appreciate all the support you show me. This is why I do giveaways, so I can give back to you lovely ladies! And I hope to continue to for as long as I have the means.
Lastly, I loved reading all of your New Year's resolutions (and non-resolutions)! I am a big believer in making goals and have had much success with them. Even with the goals that I've "failed" at time and time again. Eventually all those failures will turn into successes if you don't give up! I bet you guys didn't know I was a motivational speaker, did you? Well I can't give a prize to everyone, but I can give words of encouragement. YOU CAN DO IT!!
xx Love, Emiline xx

piCture pOlish Geode
Hello my lovely Society Sisters! I have another gorgeous piCture pOlish shade for you today! It's now a new favorite of mine (even if I do have a LOT of favorites). Geode is a 2013 piCture pOlish collaboration shade by Every Sensory. You can read all about her inspiration here. Along the lines of Imperial, another favorite of mine, piCture pOlish seems to get these glitter shades right.

L'Oréal Masked Affair Swatches and Review
I finally caved. After weeks of seeing mad hysteria (slight exaggeration) over L'Oréal Masked Affair I broke down and decided I needed to try it out for myself. This polish has been much sought after for its vibrant holographic formula, which is rare in drugstore polishes. This is actually my first ever L'Oréal polish. I've never tried it before so I wasn't sure what to expect. With all the hype built up around this shade I had some high expectations. I must admit.. I wasn't disappointed.

Sprinkles Water Marble
Hello lovelies! I recently posted this Confetti Water Marble mani and I loved it so much I decided to create a second one. I am even more in love with the results of my second version! The color combo makes me so happy. Something about the bright, fun colors make my mind think of a Fifties sock hop. Not sure why, but there you have it. It's a true party on my nails!

Neapolitan Ice Cream With Caramel
Recently I was having random thoughts about Neapolitan ice cream (random being the operative word). And like just about any thought I have nowadays, it leads me to wonder, 'How could I put that on my nails?' So that's how today's mani happened. I was reminded of my idea when I did last week's Quatrefoil Skittlette, with two of the shades looking a little like chocolate and vanilla. If I remember correctly, the brand we always bought when I was a kid had the vanilla in the middle. For this design though I kept the colors a little more muted and arranged in a gradient fashion. Then for a little more pizzazz, I added caramel sprinkles on top. Yum!

Rock n' Roll Waterfall
For today's mani I broke out a sweet glitter polish that I haven't worn since this mani. PiCture pOlish Heavy Metal is a unique shade that's all at once dark yet bright at the same time. I wanted the glitter to be the star of the show so I kept the rest of the mani pretty simple. I think the finished result has a rock n' roll feel to it. Do you agree? I think I may have to wear this look to my next rock concert!

Quatrefoil Skittlette
Happy Friday everyone! I have some more nail art for you today and I am in LOVE with this mani! This was my first time trying a quatrefoil design. Not feeling confident of trying it on my own, I followed ChristabellNails youtube tutorial. There was definitely a learning curve, but I'm pretty proud of how it turned out.

GIVEAWAY!! Nail Polish Society January Jubilee
**Giveaway has ended**
Hello Everyone! I'm quite looking forward to 2015 with all its opportunities and surprises. I love the new year where you can start fresh once again. But why does the new year have to start with January? Honestly, it's one of the worst months. It's freezing, there's endless smog here, and the family gets sick without fail. So to combat the sad state of things I am having a January Jubilee giveaway! I've named it such because it sounds happy, it's alliterative, and I just finished a book called Jubilee Trail which I quite liked. And I hope you like the giveaway too! I've put together a fun assortment of things into one prize, open internationally. Good luck!

butter LONDON All Hail the Queen
Hey everyone! I have a quick swatch today while I'm still working on my fun post for tomorrow. Today I have for you butter LONDON All Hail the Queen. It's a soft sandy beige with visible but delicate holographic particles. For my light skin tone it's a perfect goes-with-anything neutral and the formula is nice and smooth. This is two coats with topcoat. I had had my eye on this shade for some time (it's been around for a while). I am so glad I finally got my hands on one because I know I'm going to get some mileage out of it.

Confetti Water Marble
Hello lovelies! I'm still getting over the stomach flu right now (fun times!), so I won't be very long winded today. It's been a while since I've done a water marble and have been jonesing to do another one. Then I was entering into Mucking Fusser's Magnificent Milestone Giveaway and one of the entries was to post a water marble. Perfect timing!

Happy Birthday Bowie! Love, Your Biggest Fan
Happy birthday to my favoritest recording artist of all time!! If you've followed Nail Polish Society for some time you may remember my two previous 'inspired by David Bowie songs manis'- my Let's Dance and Sound and Vision nails. If you're new to the blog, first of all, WELCOME! And I hope you like David Bowie manis, because this won't be my last.
For my birthday this past November I received the Bowie nail paraphernalia I'd been lusting after. I've been waiting for a special occasion to rock them. What could be more perfect than to help celebrate the British stud muffin's birthday?

Far From The Winter Blahs
Now that it's January and the holiday season is over, it's time for the mundane. Weeks and weeks of endless ennui. That's a typical winter for me anyway. But this mani with its gorgeous gray polish and detailed pattern suddenly brightens my days and lifts my spirits. Gray skies may depress me, but this Dance Legend Grey Britain does anything but.
