Celebrating 200 Posts With 200 Polishes!

Hey guys!
Today is another milestone for me. It's my 200th post! It doesn't feel as monumental as my 100th did. It kind of feels like my half birthday, an event that I like to pretend is important. Still, I had fun using 100 polishes for that post, so I thought, why not double the fun this time?! And by fun, I mean a crazy amount of work. Last time I told myself I would never be that ambitious again. Deep down inside I hoped I would forget that quasi promise to myself and do another one even bigger and better!

Jenna Hipp The New Brights Swatches and Review

Hey everyone! I finally have my swatches and review of the Jenna Hipp The New Brights collection. Almost exactly one year ago I reviewed the What's Hot Now collection and I am very pleased to say that my photos have really improved since then. I am also happy to tell you that I loved this collection! I liked every single shade and didn't have any real issues with the formulas.

Southwestern Wedding Anniversary Nails

Last Saturday my husband and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary! Each year I give myself a nice pat on the back for making it this far. Yay for us!

Last year's anniversary nails were more soft and romantic. This year I went with colorful and graphic. Our wedding colors were blue and orange. It's one of my favorite combinations because I love blue, and I love bright colors!

Formula X Solar Flare and Photoelectric

Hello Lovelies! I have two gorgeous Formula X polishes to share with you today. A few months ago I showed you two from the Liquid Crystals collection in this post. I mentioned then that Solar Flare was next on my wishlist, and I finally got my paws on it! I had also been eyeing Photoelectric and had to add that to my cart. They are fairly expensive as nail polishes go, so I am slowly building my collection.

Formula:
The formula for both shades was great. They applied easily and evenly. They are described as sheer, and these two are. When I swatched Beacon and Magma I felt two coats gave sufficient coverage. I stuck with two coats for Solar Flare and Photoelectric too, but you can tell from the photos that I probably should have applied a third coat. It wasn't too obvious in real life though.

Cap and brush:
The Formula X bottles are topped with a bulky outer cap, but when removed it shows the smaller, easy-to-handle cap. The brushes are thin and flexible, and capture a balanced amount of polish on them for application.

Solar Flare is a "pink micro-glitter in sheer strawberry". I used two coats, plus topcoat. It's just as pretty as I hoped it would be!

I Love Nail Polish Wavy Dimensions Nail Art

Last month I found out that I Love Nail Polish is retiring some really fabulous shades that I've had on my wishlist. Since they were having a sale I had the perfect excuse to finally snatch them up. These are my first ILNP polishes and I am soo in love! I couldn't decide which one to try out first so I did some random nail art with all four shades.

Sinful Colors Curry Up

Hello beautiful people! Last month was pretty full of nail art, which I loved. It's about time though to pull some of my swatch posts out of my draft folder. So that's what I have for you today! I will be showing many more swatches this month. Don't worry though, there will still be a good balance of nail art posts.
