piCture pOlish Sisters + Comparisons

Hello my dear Society Sisters! I have a quick comparison post of my new collaboration shade Sisters next to three other piCture pOlish shades- Winter, Merge, and Demeter. These are the closest to my shade from the piCture pOlish that I personally own. Edina from Lakkomlakkom has already done an awesome comparison (HERE), but I wanted to add a couple more shades for inquiring minds. For more photos of Sisters and to read about my inspiration, check out this post.

piCture pOlish Sisters by Nail Polish Society

Hello my wonderful Society Sisters!! The long awaited day is here and I finally get to unveil to the world my collaboration shade with the nail polish brand piCture pOlish. This has been an amazing opportunity and I couldn't be more excited to share what we've created! You may remember that way back in 2014 I participated in piCture pOlish Blog Fest (see it HERE) and was chosen as one of the winners. The prize was a chance to create my very own shade- something I had as a goal ever since I discovered the brand. The anticipation of this day has been building for such a long time. My pregnancy last year stalled the creation process on my end, but fortunately they were very patient and understanding with me. I believe it was completely worth the wait, and hope you do too!

31DC2016 Day 21: piCture pOlish Rose

Hello there! Today's prompt for the 31 Day Challenge is "inspired by a color". In the past I've taken this to mean inspired by the name of a nail polish. I took a look through my stash and came across a newer acquisition, piCture pOlish Rose. It's a beautiful color that I had yet to wear, and the name just spoke for itself.

31DC2016 Day 12: Autumn Rays

Hello again! Do you have a favorite mani from the 31 Day Challenge so far? It's hard for me to choose, but today's is somewhere near the top for me. It is so satisfying to have a plan in mind and then deliver the final product exactly as imagined! That doesn't happen often enough so I have to revel in it when it does.

piCture pOlish Freya's Cats

I have a quick swatch post for you today! Freya's Cats is one of the very first piCture pOlish shades I ever got. I had planned to do some Fourth of July nail art with it a couple weeks ago. Once I applied it though I didn't want to add a thing, and wore it in all it's glory for the holiday.

Twinsie Nails With Very Emily

Yayyy! I am so excited to share these twinsie nails I did with my nail bestie Emily of Very Emily! If you follow me you know I love everything she does and have done a few manis inspired by her (here, here, and here). I would copy Emily more often but that might clue her in to how obsessed I am..

piCture pOlish Blue Dog

Hello gals! Today I have some swatches of the piCture pOlish collaboration shade Blue Dog by Vampy Varnish. I have had these photos for months and months. In fact, I was wearing this polish when my baby was born! I held off on sharing them and actually wasn't sure if I would ever post them.

Hehe 076 Stamping Plate Review

Hey everyone! As promised I have another Hehe stamping plate to review for you. Like the 075 plate I reviewed  a few weeks ago, this is from the Plaids and Floral collection. This plate has some beautiful animal print images on it, and that's what I chose to show off for you today.

piCture pOlish Blue Skittlette

Happy Monday everyone! How was your weekend. I had a fun time with friends and family, it's a little sad that it's at an end. At least I'll have some keepsakes in the form of (what I know will be amazing) family photos taken by my very talented cousin.

Back to the blog- I am still computerless. I have high hopes this will be remedied soon. In the meantime I have these photos that have luckily for me been sitting in my draft folder. Typing this out on my phone is limiting so again I will be brief. Today's nail art is a simple look created with three piCture pOlish shades and nail vinyls. PiCture pOlish makes some amazing blues and I wanted to show some of them off together. This was originally a possible entry for last year's PP Nail Art Quarterly. With some help from a friend, I chose to enter this look instead. This mani has been sitting by the wayside ever since. I still like how it turned out though and hope you do too!

piCture pOlish Fool's Gold

Hello lovelies! I have another piCture pOlish to show you today! This one is a 2014 collaboration shade created with the amazing talent that is Sammy of The Nailasaurus. She is another blogger that I follow religiously and try to emulate in her well thought-out nail art, among other things. I was so captivated by this shade when it came out and just knew I'd love it once I finally got my hands on it. You can read all about Sammy's inspiration for her collaboration here.

piCture pOlish Bordeaux

Hello and happy Friday everyone! Today's post is dedicated to piCture pOlish Bordeaux, a stunning 2015 collaboration shade by stockist Nil Nails. Bordeaux is described as a "dark wine jelly scatter holo" and was inspired by the "rich texture, charming atmosphere, wine colour derived from the famous wine region." If you're a fan of red you will LOVE this one. And if you're not a red fan, you just may be now. The warm and rich earthiness of this one give it a sensuousness that I can't resist. (Apologies if that sounds ridiculous but it's true!)

piCture pOlish Whimsy

I have a quickie post for you today. Here is a swatch of piCture pOlish Whimsy that has been sitting in my files for months now. Time to break it out! One thing that I love about this polish is that it's totally wearable in every season! Don't you think it would look great with some Winter themed nail art?

Bewitching Water Marble Featuring PiCture POlish Imperial

It's about time I did some kind of nail art, specifically Halloween related nail art. The great thing about this mani is that it's not obviously Halloween so it looks good any time of year! I've worn Imperial on it's own before (swatched here), and I am still as in love with it as I was before.

piCture pOlish Geode

Hello my lovely Society Sisters! I have another gorgeous piCture pOlish shade for you today! It's now a new favorite of mine (even if I do have a LOT of favorites). Geode is a 2013 piCture pOlish collaboration shade by Every Sensory. You can read all about her inspiration here. Along the lines of Imperial, another favorite of mine, piCture pOlish seems to get these glitter shades right.

Rock n' Roll Waterfall

For today's mani I broke out a sweet glitter polish that I haven't worn since this mani. PiCture pOlish Heavy Metal is a unique shade that's all at once dark yet bright at the same time. I wanted the glitter to be the star of the show so I kept the rest of the mani pretty simple. I think the finished result has a rock n' roll feel to it. Do you agree? I think I may have to wear this look to my next rock concert!

piCture pOlish Imperial

Hello lovelies! Today I have gorgeous (I dare you to disagree) polish to show you. PiCture pOlish Imperial is a 2013 collaboration shade by The Swatchaholic. I purchased Imperial last month and it has quickly become one of my favorite PP shades.

31DC2014 Day 30: Inspired by Lucy's Stash's One Stroke Abstract Petals

The penultimate day of the 31 Day Challenge! I'm telling you, I am completely exhausted. I think I've been staring at the screen for about 20 minutes now without writing a thing, because my brain just wants to sleep. So I'll be succinct.
For today's Inspired by a Tutorial prompt I tried to follow this tutorial by Lucy's Stash. She is absolutely amazing with her one-stroke method manis. I have never tried the one-stroke method before and still felt a little lost after watching the video. Watching it a second time would have helped a ton, but by the time I got started with my mani the computer was occupied. So I kind of just went for it and created some random flower-like shapes.

piCture pOlish Blog Fest Winner!!!

My dear, lovely, wonderful Society sisters, I have a HUGE announcement to make!

Remember this?

And this?

Well...I was one of six winners of this year's piCture pOlish Blog/Insta Fest!!!! Stars above, I won! What is the prize for winning you ask? I'll tell you...I get to make my very own collaboration shade!!! A nail polish created by Yours Truly! Aaaaaa! I just can't get over my joy!

Every single collaboration shade that piCture pOlish has produced is gorgeous, creative, and swoon worthy. They've been designed by amazing bloggers who I've admired and aspired to be like. So you can see I have a lot to live up to. Have no fear, I believe I am up to the task ;).

The shade I create will be released sometime next year. You'll have to be patient, but it will be worth the wait!

Thank you to all you wonderful people for liking, commenting, and sharing my Blog Fest post. I don't know what all went into their decision to chose the winners, I believe all that love helped! You're the best!

Virtual hugs, kisses, and high-fives!

xx Emiline xx
