ALIQUID Lacquer Make A Wish
Hello lovelies! Today I have for you the delightful ALIQUID Lacquer Make A Wish which I wore (can you guess?) for my family birthday celebration! I know, I know, that was like, two weeks ago. I don't have any real legit excuses for my lack of posts, except maybe that I've come down with a bad case of the winter blues. Can someone please tell me why humans don't hibernate?

31DC2014 Day 26: Kamon Inspired Pattern
For today's Inspired by a Pattern prompt I chose this image representational of Japanese kamon, emblems or crests that identify a family. This particular kamon is repeating in a beautiful tiled design. During my trip to Japan a few years ago I noticed similar images at every temple and castle we visited. Most of them consist of a floral or botanic motif. I loved discovering the different variations of each kamon from place to place.

31DC2014 Day 07: Black and White and Stamped All Over
Heya everyone!
I've been practicing my stamping skills more often recently because I am determined to master it. Well all that practice must have paid off because today's mani is a stamping WIN! I am so pleased with how this turned out. This is the boost in confidence that I needed! That's right, stamping. You don't scare me anymore. Er..today.

31DC2014 Day 03: Yellow Mod Geometrical
Today was a chance to try another new technique- stamping decals. I had attempted this once before and it was a disaster. I had been scared off for some time, but finally roused up enough courage for a second attempt. I still don't really understand the tricks behind a successful stamp decal. But I managed to figure it out well enough to enjoy today's result, and to want to keep trying.

Zebra of the Sea
Hi everyone! I wanted to do a really quick and easy, yet bold, mani. I remembered how much I loved my Funkedelic Stamping mani, so I went with something similar. It wasn't intended to look like a zebra print, but I ended up loving it anyway.

My Bikini Is Not Quite So Teeny
Greetings! Random question today: How many of you lovely ladies feel the pressure to get ready for "bikini season"? I would say that in years past I have felt the pressure and the anxiety in the months leading up to summer, to whip myself into shape. I've at least put some effort into it, like eating a salad or two. This year I just feel like, "What's the point?" It's not so much about giving up, because I still like to be in shape. The fact of the matter is that I'm currently out of shape, and although I have plans (somewhere in the future) to rectify that, I'm not too concerned right now.

Monochrome Sunbursts and Floral
Howdy everyone! How is life treating you this fine day? I am still trying to get over waking up from a cruel dream I had last night. I was dreaming that I was nail polish shopping, and there were rows and rows of Essie and OPI bottles on clearance. Just as I my basket was getting full of delicious goodies that I've wanted for so long, I woke up. Then came the sad moment of realization that it was all a dream. *sob*. Should I be admitting that I'm so obsessed that this is what my literal dreams are made of? Don't worry. The day I am visited by the Ghost of Nail Polish Past, Present, and Future, is the day I seek professional help.

Tiptoe Through the Tulips With MoYou Stamping
Last week I got my MoYou London prize in the mail! I won it in a trivia contest they had on Twitter. I love trivia, so the prize was more of an afterthought. That is, until I won it. I was totally giddy about getting to choose from their Pro Collection stamping plates. I chose the XL 14 plate specifically for the tulip pattern. When I asked on my facebook page which stamp from the plate I should do first, the tulips was the first response, which is what I wanted to do anyway!

Blue Medley With MoYou Suki
I was so excited to finally get a MoYou Suki Plate! I hope someday I will have them all. Because you know what they say, too much of a good thing is often an excellent thing. I got the Suki Collection 06 (XL images). I still have an issue with them being called XL. I mean, I need them to be XL to fit my big nails. But it makes me feel like I need to put my nails on a diet. Maybe they could rename them, "They Actually Fit Your Entire Nail Plates".
On my index and middle finger I have three coats of Sephora by OPI Havana Dreams. I stamped over that with Sephora by OPI Break a Leg Warmer. On my ring finger I applied two coats of China Glaze Pelican Gray and sponged China Glaze For Audrey on top. Over that I applied one coat of Formula X for Sephora Chaotic. On my thumb and pinky finger I have two coats of piCture pOlish Ocean.
Isn't Ocean such a dreamy color? I think it's only my third piCture pOlish shade, and I'm so glad I decided on that one. There are so many more that I want, and I hope to slowly grow my collection. I purchased mine from llarowe.com.
I think I need to dedicate some time to stamping practice. These nails turned out better than my last stamped manicure, but still wasn't as crisp as I wanted. Looks like it's back to stamping school for me!
What I used:
piCture pOlish Ocean
China Glaze For Audrey
China Glaze Pelican Gray
Formula X for Sephora Chaotic
Sephora by OPI Havana Dreams
Sephora by OPI Break a Leg Warmer
MoYou Suki Plate Collection 06 (XL images)
Let me know what you think in the comments!
Also, I'm participating in this week's (and hopefully the whole month) N.A.I.L. challenge which is shown below. The graphic itself was just so cute, I had to join in.

Long Time, No Post.
I know, I know! It's been two whole months since I've last posted anything. Sorry everyone, I wasn't planning on taking such a long break. I haven't been feeling 100%, but I should be back in the game now.
Having been so long, I felt a lot of pressure to make my next post super awesome. Those were my intentions anyway. Not only have I not been posting, but I've neglected my nails completely. That means I'm a little out of practice. Apparently my stamping skills really suffered.
At least my thumb nail doesn't look half bad, right? For Christmas my sister sent me some MoYou stamping plates. Isn't she awesome? :) I should have taken a photo of the plate before I used it, but I forgot, and now it's all streaky looking from the acetone. For a better picture of the MoYou Fairytale Plate Collection 04, look here. All of their plates are soooo adorable, I want them all!
I've been watching as much of the Sochi Olympics as I can, and I wanted to do a design to reflect some aspect of the games. These nails were inspired by the Opening Ceremony. There was a part towards the end where they made it look like the night sky, so that's what I was going for. Let's pretend all the squiggly lines here are part of my "artistic" interpretation.
Seriously, what happened to my pinky? It looks like I had a seizure while I was stamping it.
What I used:
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Quick Jeanius
Sephora by OPI White Hot
MoYou Fairytale Plate Collection 04
Well I better get back to practicing all my skills that have atrophied during my long absence! I've missed you all! I can't wait until I turn out something really good.
